These tiny grapevine magnets will be the perfect addition to any wine cooler and are the ideal size for traveling visitors. This miniature work of art has three tiny bunches of ripe grapes hanging from the vine. Each piece has a strong magnet screwed into the back of the driftwood.
Each grapevine is individual formed, by hand, allowing for the uniqueness and individuality produced in natural growth. Therefore the shape, size, and color of the grapes, leaves, and vine will vary from piece to piece. The polymer clay grapes and leaves were handmade and assembled to create the fruit on the vines.
The grapevines are hand sculpted using untreated copper wire. Because the wire is untreated, it will darken over time. The high points can be polished, but the recessed area will continue to tarnish (darken). Therefore, the color and shininess of the metal may vary from the picture. The magnet in the picture is an example. Each piece is made to order an will vary from the picture. Driftwood shape, size, and color will be different than shown.
Every vine sculpture is one of a kind. Each wire is carefully bent and positioned to give it its life-like qualities. I collect the driftwood from beaches along the California Coast with the help of friends and family. The magnet is completed with the addition of moss (color may vary) and small polymer clay grape sculptures.
