This beautiful wall sculpture features a vine full of green grapes and a copper wire hanger.
Each grapevine is individual formed, by hand, allowing for the uniqueness and individuality produced in natural growth. Therefore the shape, size, and color of the grapes, leaves, and vine will vary from piece to piece. The polymer clay grapes and leaves were handmade and assembled to create the fruit on the vines.
The grapevines are hand sculpted using untreated copper wire. Because the wire is untreated, it will darken over time. The high points can be polished, but the recessed area will continue to tarnish (darken). Therefore, the color and shininess of the metal may vary from the picture. The wall hanging in the picture is an example. Each piece is made to order an will vary from the picture. Driftwood shape, size, and color will be different than shown.
Every vine sculpture is one of a kind. Each wire is carefully bent and positioned to give it its life-like qualities. I collect the driftwood from beaches along the California Coast with the help of friends and family. The wall hanging is completed with the addition of moss (color may vary) and small polymer clay grape sculptures.
