Weeping Brass Wire Tree on Sonoma Coast Driftwood with Eclipse Goddess and Turquoise
This stunning twisted tree is set on a light colored, softly textured piece of driftwood from the Sonoma Coast, accented with sage green moss. Sitting in the shade of this old and wise tree’s weeping branches is Eclipsia, Goddess of the Eclipse. She honors this powerful June 2020 eclipse that comes to us on the summer solstice as the sun enters Cancer. The energy of the eclipse will help bring about social change while keeping emotional awareness insight. In her hands, Eclipsia holds a beautiful piece of green turquoise. She draws upon its healing energy, asking to find clarity of mind and that her spirit be healed. She asks that she may be grounded and balance her male and female energies. Eclipsia knows now is the time to harness the trans-formative energy of the eclipse with her magical solar lunar yin yang talisman.
Eclipsia was hand sculpted using polymer clay and then oven baked. The tree was hand sculpted using untreated brass wire. Because the wire is untreated, it will darken over time. The high points can be polished, but the recessed area will continue to tarnish (darken). Therefore, the color and shininess of the metal may vary from the picture, but you will receive the exact tree that is pictured here.
Every tree sculpture is one of a kind. Each wire is carefully bent and positioned to give it its life-like qualities. I collect the driftwood from beaches I visit with the help of friends and family. The sculpture is completed with the addition of moss, a piece of genuine green turquoise, and a small sculpture.
